Ivy Lin, O.D.
Ivy Lin, O.D. received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychobiology at UCLA in 1998. She graduated from Pacific University in 2003, having earned her Doctor of Optometry degree after completing externships at Barnet Dulaney Perkins Eye Center in Scottsdale, Arizona, along with others specializing in pediatric eye care and vision therapy. Shortly thereafter, she co-authored a study on the Acuvue Bifocal contact lens that was published in Optometry, the Journal of the American Optometric Association.
Dr. Lin served on the board of the Orange County Optometric Society for several years, previously served as their liaison for the California Vision Foundation, and is the editor of their newsletter. She is affiliated with the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society, Orange County Optometric Society, California Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association, and has participated in various community health fairs and Special Olympics vision health screenings.
In her free time, Dr. Lin enjoys live music, beautiful art and architecture, and traveling abroad. She and her husband especially enjoy spending time outdoors and going to Disneyland with their two teenage children. Dr. Lin has a deep love for charity, and is a longstanding member of the Fullerton chapter of the National Charity League, regularly volunteering for Meals on Wheels and Crittenton Foster Care.
Dr. Lin speaks Mandarin and Spanish fluently, and welcomes the opportunity to help patients who may be uncomfortable communicating their needs in English otherwise. Her goal is to provide clear, comfortable vision for patients and their families, with an emphasis on good patient education and preventative eyecare in a friendly environment. She enjoys the daily experience of meeting new people and greeting familiar ones, and hopes that is reflected in your visit to our offices.

David Ardaya, O.D., M.H.A.
David Ardaya, O.D., M.H.A. was recently awarded Optometrist of the Year 2022. He received his Doctorate of Optometry with distinction from Pacific University in 2003 as a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa honor society. Prior to his optometric education, Dr. Ardaya was awarded the President’s Scholarship given to the class valedictorian and was accepted into the honors college at the University of Arizona where he graduated in 1998 with a Bachelors of Science in Physiological Sciences. Dr. Ardaya recently continued his education and was awarded a Master of Health Administration from the University of Southern California in 2017.
Through Dr. Ardaya’s leadership, he strives to provide personalized and compassionate care to all patients.
Dr. Ardaya is a past President of the Orange County Optometric Society (OCOS) and was recognized as the Optometrist of the Year, 2022 and Young Optometrist of the Year, 2009 by the largest optometric organization in the state, the California Optometric Association (COA). In addition, Dr. Ardaya is an elected trustee on the COA board, a member of the Health Care Delivery Systems Committee, and is an active member of the American Optometric Association.
A published author in Optometry magazine who has appeared in various newspaper and online articles regarding optometric and vision issues, Dr. Ardaya also serves as principal investigator for numerous investigational studies which allows him to be aware of new innovations in the field.
Most importantly, Dr. Ardaya has an amazing family that includes Dr. Ivy Lin and two very funny and bright teenagers. Although Dr. Ardaya has no spare time, if he did, he would enjoy playing his guitar a little more, checking out some live music, and taking advantage of his Eagle Scout skills in the great outdoors.

Evelynne Chavez, O.D.
Evelynne Chavez, O.D. completed her Doctor of Optometry degree with honors at the Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton, CA. Her clinical externships at VA Bakersfield, Pearl Harbor Naval Base, and the University Eye Care Center of L.A. focused on the treatment and management of ocular disease, primary eye care, and low vision. She also completed an additional year of advanced training by doing a residency in Primary Eye Care and Ocular Disease at the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center.
Throughout optometry school, Dr. Chavez was involved in several organizations acting as vice-president of the Spanish Optometric Society and as part of the board for the Extracurricular Activities Committee. She additionally tutored for different courses and volunteered her time doing local vision screenings. Prior to optometry school, Dr. Chavez attended the University of California, Berkeley where she received her bachelors in Integrative Biology with a minor in Ethnic Studies.
Dr. Chavez is fluent in Spanish and in her free time enjoys trying new restaurants, going to concerts, and spending time with her family and dogs.

Vanessa A. Gonzalez, O.D., M.S.
Vanessa A. Gonzalez, O.D., M.S. completed her Doctor of Optometry degree at NOVA Southeastern University College of Optometry in Davie, FL. Her clinical externships focused on pediatric optometry, Autism/Neuro-Ophthalmic Vision Rehabilitation Services, treatment and management of ocular diseases, contact lenses, and low vision training at the Eye Care Center in North Miami Beach, FL and Southern California Eye Institute at CHA Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center. During her optometric education, Dr. Gonzalez volunteered her time providing free vision screenings throughout the communities across Southern Florida and Southern California.
Prior to completing her optometric education, Dr. Gonzalez attended Bell Gardens High School and graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a Bachelor of Science in Cognitive Science with a specialization in Neuroscience. She continued her education and was awarded a Master of Science in Medical Sciences from Western University of Health Sciences. Dr. Gonzalez served as a collaborating investigator in multiple research studies, including optometric care for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Dr. Gonzalez is fluent in Spanish and in her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, exploring the outdoors, and attending Dodger games, Laker games and live music events.
Dr. Gonzalez dedicates the entirety of her career to her late mother, Leticia A. Gonzalez, whom she describes as her rock and greatest cheerleader to her educational and professional journey.

Ashik Mathur, O.D.
Ashik Mathur, O.D. earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton, CA. His clinical training included externships at LA Ambulatory Care, University Eye Center at Los Angeles, and EYEcenter Optometric locations in Northern California. Through these experiences, he gained expertise in diagnosing and managing various eye conditions while serving patients from diverse backgrounds.
Before pursuing optometry, Dr. Mathur completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Irvine, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences.
He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the California Optometric Association (COA), American Optometric Association (AOA), and Rio Hondo Optometric Society (RHOS).
Dr. Mathur is fluent in English, Spanish, Gujarati, and Hindi, allowing him to connect with a wide range of patients.
Outside of work, he enjoys watching movies, exploring new restaurants, and playing cricket and volleyball. A passionate sports fan, he proudly supports the Los Angeles Dodgers, Rams, and Lakers.
